My daughter, Andrea, and I went to Lesvos during the refugee crisis in 2015 and in 2016. This was before NATO blocked the area between Turkey and Lesvos. We tried to help the refugees who came in bad rubber boats over a stretch of sea that in a few months took the lives of far too many. There were strong impressions. Here are some pictures from Lesvos. The problem has not disappeared. Today, there are thousands of frightened people in a refugee camp called Moria on Lesvos. Living under terrible conditions.
